We empower our students to apply mathematical knowledge across all strands of mathematics. The Visual Arts program provides all children with an opportunity to imaginatively explore and express their feelings, whilst developing their skill levels through a diverse range of art activities and mediums. Students engage with and develop knowledge of visual arts, skills, techniques and processes, using various materials to explore a range of forms, styles and contexts.
Children learn to communicate in Japanese in different contexts, as well as to gain an understanding of the Japanese culture. Lessons are designed to be interactive and will often incorporate singing songs, playing games, performing role plays, designing posters and creating learning resources.
During music lessons, students enjoy learning about the fundamentals of music (e.g. beat, rhythm, tone and melody), in a meaningful way. Students listen to, compose and perform music in a wide range of styles. They learn how to use a variety of musical instruments as they progress through the school.
Primarily, the physical education curriculum lays the important early foundations of play and fundamental movement skills. It focuses on the acquisition and refinement of a broad range of movement skills. Students develop skills including cooperation, working as a team member, good sportsmanship and many sporting and physical games skills to enable lifelong participation in sporting activities.
